    HFF Splintered Dream is based on Split Caps, from page 81 of "Special Effects and Topical Alphabets: 100 Complete Fonts" by Dan X. Solo, first published by Dover Publications in 1978. Split Caps is also listed in page 92 0f "The Solotype Catalog of 4,147 Display Typefaces" as Split.

    Another style of Split, Split Wide, is in page 75 of "Rustic and Rough-Hewn Alphabets: 100 Complete Fonts".
