    About KG Primary Penmanship Font

I come from a family of educators- my mom, husband, stepmom, brother-in-law, and sister are all currently teaching and I have taught in the past. This font was created after speaking to several elementary school teachers who were struggling to find just the right font to use on worksheets and projects in their classroom. They liked many features of other fonts, but needed small things altered in order to make a "perfect fit" for their class. Hand-drawn by me, this font hopefully addresses several of those issues. As penmanship styles vary across the globe, I am sure this font will not work in every classroom. But hopefully this style will work for many teachers to give their early readers a highly legible, neat, accurate font. It is best used with kerning turned on to allow for accurate letter spacing. This is a nice clean font, but it is the same as other print-like fonts in that the characters are slowly drawn and do not relate well to natural movements of the hand. Please note another solution: www.bfhhandwriting.com

^ I appreciate your input. However, most districts in the US prefer that students print in this style. Sorry! If the fluent handwriting ever takes over the world, I'll be sure to hop on that train! ๐Ÿ˜„

This is perfect for school-age children, those learning to write in English as a second language, in addition to those simply wanting to improve their printing. Will be printing these for my niece to practice with. Thank you, once again!

With both this font and the Primary Dots font, the space bar produces un-lined spaces, not lined. Is there a setting I am missing to be able to create blank lines? Thank-you! I do love this font!

Nevermind!! I had "show paragraph marks" turned on, and it interferes with the display of the spaces. ๐Ÿ˜„

I am trying to create stationary for my daughter to write a letter. I can see all the blank lines on my computer but every time I try to print it won't print the blank lines. Is there a setting I am missing?

@cswhitney Use the NOSPACE version and use the ||||| key (bar key) instead of a space bar. ๐Ÿ˜„

    Hi Kimberly,

I'm loving your KG Primary Penmanship Alt as it correlates with the letter shapes that we're teaching our 3 year old.

However, it seems that your lined version of this font is not quite the same; notably, the lower case letter 'q'.

Do you have a version that has identical lettering to KG Primary Penmanship Alt but with the lines also?

    Thanks a million,
    Steve

Is there a way to use this font with no lettering, just printing the lines?

@SallyMarvi Use the NOSPACE version and use the ||||| key (bar key) instead of a space bar.

I have used this for many projects. I did make a donation for the license of this font to be safe. Thank you.
