    About Men Nefer Font

    The Egyptienne was the beginning of the 19th Century England in response to the increased demand for eye-catching signage. The first was published in 1815 by Egyptienne Vincent Figgins. Mentioned for the first time the slab serif font in a few types of printing in 1820, and that in a list of auction type foundry Thorne. They were called "Egyptienne" even though they had nothing to do with the Egyptian writing. The name commemorates the name of the hijacked by the British ship that brought the Rosetta Stone in 1802 to London, at a time in which the people showed much interest in Egyptian art. The Egyptienne, and Slab Serif linear Antiqua was also the 20th Jahrhunbdert popular, and so was in 1930 Dwen developed as a geometric slab serif font to Memphis.
