    Some history about this typeface:

    Original name Houghton (Herman Ihlenburg around 1880 for McKellar, Smiths and Jordan) -- copied in Europe as Edison by Bauer AND Berthold by 1900 (credit to phillipe2 http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/forum/case/93506/)
