Not really a blackletter at all — it has a certain historical touch, which is why it sits among these pages. The capitals are roman-style letters in a medieval manuscript hand, while the lowercase is a small, readable textura — an unusual mixed pairing that works beautifully for theater programs, Shakespeare quotes, and period book covers. The typeface Hamlet was designed by Edward Johnston for a 1929 Cranach Press Shakespeare edition; the award-winning book Hamlet was considered "the most beautiful book of the year 1930". This digital version was digitized by Manfred Klein & CybaPee. Includes A–Z, a–z, and 0–9. The characters " ' [ ] ^ _ and ~ are missing from the font.
