Lassus is a music notation font by composer David Rakowski (1993) — notes, clefs, rests, and accidentals drawn on staff lines, so typing a sequence builds up lines of music. Named for Renaissance master Orlando di Lasso. Made for composers, teachers, and music worksheets — a working composer's tool from the early days of desktop music publishing.

Not my cup of tea. All graphics are bit-mapped. Individual notes include staff lines, impossible to work with. Only has notes, clefs, and rests.

Very interesting idea! It would be great if this could be accompnied by a MIDI playback engine. I suppose that wouldn't be very dificult.
