More info from David Rakowski
Upper WestSide is an elegant display font by David Rakowski, modeled on the classic lettering of The New Yorker magazine — tall, high-waisted capitals with flared, hand-drawn strokes. Lowercase letters are small-cap forms. It comes in two cuts: the regular design and Extreme Leftis, a dramatically back-slanted version. Made for magazine-style headlines, book covers, invitations, and anything that wants a literate New York feel.
