Based on the lettering of an actual period map of a pirate shipwreck off Cape Cod, the font also allows for many of the special characters and ligatures of Middle and Elizabethan English, and looks good doing it, too. Rugged and distinctive, it is also legible at much smaller sizes than many stylized fonts allow, and has a large extended character set. Two dingbat fonts are included as well, including a playing-card font.

The ship was the "Whydah", under the pirate Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy. The principle font from the map is Black Sam's Gold. The other two are dingbats.
Great font, thanks so much. Have uploaded a few pics of it in action on an rsvp to a children pirate party.

Which one is it?
