About Caveat Brush Font
Caveat is a handwriting type family designed by Pablo Impallari. It is designed for short annotations. For a different style, there is also a sister family, Caveat
The fonts have OpenType features that enable the letters to have slight variations according to their occurrence within a word, for a natural handwritten feel.

7 years ago@RobynBroyles Hi Robyn, it does it through the OpenType feature of Standard Ligatures. So if you type two 's' in a row it will use the ss ligature to substitute the second s for a variant. Remember, TrueType is still OpenType.

6 years agoFinally a brush script font that includes special characters. Thank you!
Very interesting font, and more great work from this designer. Question: in one application I was surprised to see alternate glyphs popping up, though they are not ligatures. Surprised because this is a TrueType font! And they DON'T pop up in other applications that support OpenType alternate glyphs. How was this done? I'd love to get the alternates in Scribus although I don't think Scribus supports even OpenType alternates, so may be a lost cause there.
