A Umbará Typeface é uma fonte de leitura serifada original, inspirada no antigo bairro Umbará, em Curitiba, Brasil. Foi idealizada por Kawany Novak e desenvolvida pelo estudante universitário Marcus Nakamura, como parte do seu TCC em Design Gráfico na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná.

A fonte contém mais de 140 glifos no sistema básico de escrita latina, suportando principalmente os idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Apresenta um conjunto de glifos alternativos para a maioria das letras maiúsculas, conferindo uma personalidade única.

The Umbará Typeface is an original serif reading font, inspired by the old Umbará
neighborhood of Curitiba, Brazil. It was conceptualized by Kawany Novak and designed by college student Marcus Nakamura, as part of his cornerstone project in Graphic Design at the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná.

The font comprises more than 140 glyphs in the basic latin writing system, mainly
supporting the Portuguese, English and Spanish languages. It features a set of alternative glyphs for the majority of the uppercase letter, granting
a unique personality.
