More info from David Rakowski
Griffin Bats is a printer's ornaments font by David Rakowski (1992) — the name plays on 'dingbats,' the old printers' word for these decorative pieces: catchwords, fleurons, border strips, corner pieces, and rules, plus a set of ornate blackletter capitals on the letter keys. Made for borders, invitations, and classic book design.
