The huge jags and sharp angles of legendary sign painter Frank H. Atkinson's Broken Poster have returned with a vengeance. At a hundred plus years and counting, Broken Poster isn't exactly a new kid on the block. What is new is that
it now comes in three fun variations: Broken Poster, Broken Poster Tour and Broken Poster Tour Busted. Break out your vector program and get ready to have some fun.
Broken Poster was the name given to this letter style by Frank Atkinson in his book on sign lettering. My guess is he was refering to the angular nature of the lines of the glyphs. Alf Becker also did a sample of the same style calling it German Poster.
